We're straight up about how we handle your data
Look, we get it - nobody actually enjoys reading privacy policies. But here's the thing: at Ashthorn Veil Fitness, we're not just about pushing you through brutal workouts. We also respect your personal space, even the digital kind.
This policy breaks down exactly what info we collect when you train with us, why we need it, and what we do with it. No legal jargon BS - just straight talk about how we protect your data while helping you forge your strength.
By using our services, website, or stepping into our facility at 2847 Granville Street, you're agreeing to these terms. If something doesn't sit right with you, hit us up before you sign anything.
When you join up, we need the basics - your name, email, phone number, and address. Nothing sketchy, just enough so we can reach you about classes or if you forget your water bottle again.
This one's important. We collect health history, injury records, fitness goals, and any medical conditions that might affect your training. Why? Because we're not gonna program Olympic lifts for someone with a dodgy shoulder without knowing about it first. Your safety isn't negotiable.
Credit card details, membership plans, payment history - standard stuff for running a business. We use secure payment processors, so your card info isn't just sitting on some spreadsheet.
Check-in times, class attendance, equipment usage logs. Helps us figure out when the gym's packed and when you can actually get on the assault bike without waiting.
IP addresses, browser type, pages you visit on our site. Pretty standard web stuff that helps us make the site not suck.
We're not selling your data to sketchy marketing companies or anything like that. Here's what we actually do with it:
We don't share your personal info unless there's a legit reason. Here's when it might happen:
Payment processors, email platforms, scheduling software - the tools we need to run this place. They're bound by their own privacy policies and can't use your data for their own purposes.
If we're legally obligated - court orders, government requests, that sort of thing. We're not gonna fight the law, but we're not volunteering info either.
If there's a medical emergency, we'll share relevant health info with first responders. Your life's more important than data privacy in that moment.
If we ever sell the gym or merge with another facility (not planning on it), your data would transfer to the new owners. You'd be notified first.
What we DON'T do: Sell your info to advertisers, share it with random third parties, or use it for anything sketchy. Period.
Yeah, we use cookies - the digital kind, not the protein-packed ones we wish we could offer. Here's the deal:
These keep the website functioning. Login sessions, security features, basic stuff that makes the site actually work. You can't opt out of these unless you wanna break everything.
Help us understand how people use the site - which pages get visited, where folks drop off, that kinda thing. We use this to make the site less annoying to navigate.
Remember your settings and preferences so you don't have to keep selecting the same options every visit.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you want, but fair warning - some parts of the site might not work properly. Your call though.
We take security seriously - probably more seriously than we take rest days. Here's what we do to keep your data locked down:
That said, no system's 100% bulletproof. We do our best, but if there's ever a data breach, we'll notify you ASAP and tell you exactly what happened and what we're doing about it.
Your data, your rules. Here's what you can do:
Wanna see what we've got on file? Just ask. We'll send you a copy of your personal information within 30 days.
If something's wrong - old address, incorrect phone number, whatever - let us know and we'll fix it.
You can request deletion of your personal info. We'll honor that unless we legally need to keep certain records (like payment history for tax purposes).
Don't wanna hear about new classes or special offers? Hit the unsubscribe button on any email or tell us directly. We won't take it personally.
Need your data in a format you can take elsewhere? We'll provide it in a commonly used format.
To exercise any of these rights, shoot us an email at info@ashthornveil.info or call (604) 555-8742. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
We don't keep your data forever - that'd be weird and unnecessary. Here's our approach:
When we delete data, we actually delete it - not just hide it. It's gone for good.
Our programs are designed for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect info from kids under 18 without parental consent.
If you're under 18 and wanna train here, we need a parent or guardian to sign off on everything - membership agreements, waivers, the whole deal. We'll collect the same type of info, but it's handled through your parent/guardian.
If we somehow end up with data from someone under 18 without proper consent, let us know and we'll delete it immediately.
We might update this policy from time to time - new laws, new tech, new ways of doing things. When we make changes, we'll:
If you keep using our services after we update the policy, that means you're cool with the changes. If you're not cool with them, you can cancel your membership - no hard feelings.
We recommend checking this page every now and then, especially if you're the type who actually reads these things.
Got questions about this policy? Wanna know what data we have on you? Concerned about how we're handling your info? Just reach out:

We'll get back to you within 3-5 business days. If it's urgent, call us - email's great but sometimes you just need to talk to a human.
Note: If you're in British Columbia, you also have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner if you think we've mishandled your data. We'd prefer you talk to us first so we can fix whatever's wrong, but that's your call.
Privacy stuff can be confusing. If anything here doesn't make sense or you wanna know more, don't hesitate to ask. We're here to help, not hide behind legal mumbo-jumbo.
